Ancients is a player created and maintained ‘limited’ Open format with a banned and restricted list that seeks to keep things fresh and healthy while as wide open as possible. You can find the Ancients Format rules here.

On The Accordlands website you can set the ‘Format’ filter to Ancients to search for Ancients-legal cards to build your deck with.

Class is in Session is an alternate format where you must change one class and may change one subclass for any Warlord that has a class.

When changing classes, you must use a Warlord with at least one class. For example, you could choose for Taoth to be a Fighter instead of a Wizard.

Additionally, when changing a class, you may change one subclass trait (if possible) on the Warlord to one of the subclasses available to the new class you chose.

For example, if Rraagnar became a Wizard he could exchange one of his three subclass traits (Barbarian Paladin Ranger) for one of the Wizard subclasses (Illusionist Necromancer Shaman Summoner).

The subclasses for each class for the purposes of this format/event are:

Classless (Captain Karkos Tzin, Yedraw and Andlewick can change these)

When choosing a new class for a multi-class Warlord, change only one of their classes. For example, if playing Feyd Rowan (Cleric, Rogue, Wizard), you would have to change one of his existing classes to Fighter. Additionally, you may change his Necromancer trait to one of Barbarian Paladin or Ranger.

Andlewick isn’t banned?

We’ve removed Andlewick from the ban list as a test case for some of our classless Warlords. You can give him a class and change Monk to one of that class’ subclasses.

What about Zartoch/Ferris Bachman?

In the case of Warlords who can run multiple copies of themselves, like Zartoch and Ferris Bachman, only the copy that starts in play gets a new class/subclass. The other copies remain Wizard Illusionists/Rogue Bards.
