Peasant is an in-development format and this event marks the community’s first foray into this land of low rarity! Peasant deck construction is simple and has the following rules:

  • You may use any Warlord regardless of rarity.

  • You may include any number of common rarity cards.

  • You may include a maximum of FIVE uncommon rarity cards.

  • When checking for rarity of a card, use the lowest rarity printing regardless of most recent printing.

And that’s pretty much it. When checking rarities on cards, remember that there are five rarities in Warlord: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Fixed, and Promo. (pictured below)

Over time, some cards were reprinted at different rarities. For example, the entire 10th Anniversary Open and Ancients Reprint Set was printed at Rare though some of the cards were previously common, uncommon, promo, etc. While this permanently changes the cards rarity through ‘most recent printing’ errata, in Peasant you look for the ‘lowest’ rarity that a card was ever printed at to determine its legality. So using the 10AORS example, Quadlibet would be considered a common for the purposes of this event. This is due to her having been printed as a common at any point.

The best way to find cards for this format is to use the Accordlands and set the dropdown marked Rarity to Common or Uncommon in addition to your other search parameters.

Ancients is a player created and maintained ‘limited’ Open format with a banned and restricted list that seeks to keep things fresh and healthy while as wide open as possible. You can find the Ancients Format rules here.

On The Accordlands website you can set the ‘Format’ filter to Ancients to search for Ancients-legal cards to build your deck with.
