 Round 2 Movement Recap

The Chosen have unleashed Sin-Marduk on the Accordlands! Sin-Marduk moves and threatens like a Warlord, but has the additional starting cards like an Overlord. The Accordlands factions have also revisited nearly every portal site, but after massive losses in Round 1 they have mostly decided there’s safety in numbers when dealing with Thessyria!

Deima, following heavy losses in Round 1, has done a round of mostly redeployment and held off on pushing outside of Deverenia for now. She did, however, send Jodin Drac and Adonis the Cozener on a mission to retrieve the coveted Wall of Stone. This mean’s there will be a long line of Deverenians in the fighting pits and an impassable wall in the Accordland’s future.

Ironhall used his Phoenix Feather and once per game ability to give a second life to Stonefist Gargoyle and Byaal Kadapati, but kept them at his side for the time being. Out on the map, he sent Sigrida Valora and Kaimi Fateseeker to gather Hidden Information. Kaimi was contested by a Nothrog scout while Sigrida encountered two full Mercenary companies. Further North in Tyraniel, the gargoyle Aridun of the Stone revisited a portal where Nin-Gula was waiting. It’s pit fight duty for the rest.

Jel’ial has paired up all of her Warlords finding solace in numbers. Thekem Nethryn & Cordeos Bodach move East to claim loot while Behlial & Laurena Kennet do the same in the Broken Plains of Sarakia. For Yvaalis & Saunginel there is chaos, however, as their attempt to investigate a portal is scouted by a pair of Free Kingdoms.

Sir Tython is lonely on the coast while his Warlords pair up for battle around the Accordlands. Jaqueline Windson & Iam Unsullied find a pair of Elves too preoccupied with a portal to give their full attention to the orange-bordered duo. Beastmaster Eldaric & Captain Dukat use their space on the map to loot and tamper with a portal out of which Ruash-Shan has appeared to hunt them. Lastly, to the Northeast near Merrick and Dragon Shrine, their final pair secure some stranded treasures.

Qor-teth has spread the Mercenary sellswords far and wide. Varson Yscar, General Lund, and Menhetiri are all on solo expeditions while The Nemesis and Tavis Jape attempt to recruit Toren Yscar as they ambush a lonely Sigrida Valora seeking information. Menhetiri’s movement has been particularly curious as cartographers don’t display anything in those isles.

Wyvern, his belly full of Deverenians, keeps his Warlords scattered with only Scyrax and Bershar Nin able to support each other as they attempt to loot adjacent a portal. But will Princess Alizeh be able to take down two of Lukkot’s finest? Fotrakka stays on the Lukkot shoreline to defend Wyvern, while Kothkah continues his return home and Vakeros explores the Lion’s Jaw Bay shore. And finally, Sav’rukk is sent to thwart Kaimi Fateseeker in her information gathering quest, leaving several Nothrog to seek competition in the fighting pits for the round.

Round 2 Combat Recap

The Chosen showed up this round to find a vengeful Accordlands awaiting them. Atiratu, Nin-Gula, Princess Alizeh, Ruash-Shan, and Sanga-Kish were all beaten back into their portals often by pairs of Accordlands Warlords. Only Sin-Marduk has yet to taste defeat as he defiles Athenaes with his very presence. Will the Accordlands scatter their heroes at the sight of him or will they work together to send this Lord of Daemons back to Thessyria where he belongs?

The Deverenians have sent their reinforcements to the fighting pits with middling results securing two victories against an Elf and Dwarf and two defeats to the Elves and Mercenaries with two Warlords missing in action. They find no combat on the map this round as they instead plan out their route back into the fray and strategize around the use of their Wall of Stone.

The Elves looting uncontested didn’t fair as well as they hoped in the fighting pits, but had a round to breath and secure some tools for future battles. Elves, hit the hardest during the first round by The Chosen uncovering four of the seven portals, decided to attack a portal with a numbers advantage. But while Yvaalis and Saunginel were successful in finding a lone Atiratu as planned, a flanking maneuver by the Free Kingdoms put their plans in complete disarray. Yvaalis turned to fight off Iam Unsullied and Jaqueline Windson but was cut down by sword and arrow. At the portal, Saunginel takes the welling frustration of Jel’ial’s forces out on Atiratu whose daemon army fell to the Elven necromancer.

The Free Kingdoms scoured the continent in pairs. One pair freely acquired a Cause Serious Wounds outside Dragon Shrine. Another pursued a Limited Wish near a portal where Beastmaster Eladric and Captain Dukat made short work of Ruash-Shan. Their best move this round, however, was ambushing the ambush faction as Iam Unsullied and Jaqueline Windson surprise Yvaalis as he attempted to tame a camel. After the battle, the factions have all agreed that the camel (I7) is cursed and that all who pursue it will suffer. Lastly, Sir Robert becomes the leading pit fighter this round as the FreeKs scramble to get some momentum.

The Mercenaries have three Warlords running simple errands as they acquire a lone Brine Fiend and lay claim to uncontested spots on the map. The Nemesis and Tavis Jape find a lonely Sigrida Valora attempting to gather information and with a numbers advantage win the battle. Allisara travels to a portal site where she challenges Sanga-Kish to a duel of dragons and magic where she finds victory for her faction and the Accordlands. The fighting pits are unattended for Mercenaries this round save for Menhetiri’s victory over a Nothrog.

The Nothrog legion’s forces are divided with two Warlords traveling long distances, one at home in Lukkot to guard Wyvern and the other three seeking loot on the map. Sav’rukk contests Kaimi Fateseeker as she gathers information for Ironhall, but Kaimi gets the better of the Nothrog scout just in the nick of time. Bershar Nin and Scyrax enact a pincer move on a portal while acquiring treasure for their faction. The Princess Alizeh led her thralls valiantly against the Nothrog, but was sent back through her portal by the pair. In the fighting pits, the Nothrogs find both victory and defeat.
