A cube draft refers to a Warlord format consisting of three different stages. First, there’s the drafting stage where players pass around randomized ‘packs’ selecting one card from each pack before passing it on to the next player - this process is done three times in total. Second, there’s a deckbuilding stage where players construct a minimum 30 card deck from among the cards they acquired in the drafting stage. Third, there’s a gameplay stage where players use the decks they created in the deckbuilding stage to play Warlord matches.

The Draft Cube we are using at Gen Con 2022 is a 540 card singleton cube consisting of many of the most powerful and iconic cards from throughout Warlord’s history. Singleton means that there’s only one copy of each card in the cube, and the pack sizes are 15 cards. Generic starting armies are provided, but can be switched out with cards you acquire during the draft. During the deckbuilding stage, players may choose their Warlord from among all the Warlords ever printed.
