Round 1 Movement Recap
The Chosen have appeared! Thessyrian’s villains and heroes alike appear to be attacking Accordlanders who venture too close to mysterious portal sites. But what role do these rag tag reject Chosen have to play in this large scale war? What is their motive, why are they here?
Qor-teth has sent none other than his charismatic bard March Shaw leading a band of allies straight to the gates of Luthlarius! They aim to slay the Deverenian leader Deima while her Warlords are abroad. Slay or be slain, it is a bold move! The rest of his Warlords pursue loot to make sure their faction is well supplied.
Deima has used her once per event ability to double her Warlords’ movement and positioned them all around the map. Some have gone off to seek far away treasures, others have traveled long distances to team up, but most noteworthy of all is Talib al-sirr and Kalten the Bleak who have converged on Lukkot in an attempt to slay the mighty Nothrog Overlord Wyyvern! But in doing so she is without a Warlord to defend her.
Wyvern has issued orders to gather resources for the battles to come, but Sav’rukk and High Priest Nassiral have each stumbled upon portals and enemy Warlords. Will the Accordlanders partner up to slay the otherworldly visitors or will it be a complete free for all? Either way, Wyvern will have his hands full with two Deverenian assailants!
Je’lial thought the coast was clear but a whopping four of her Warlords encountered portals to Thessyria! A particularly uphill battle against hill-dwellers Stonefist Gargoyle and Byaal Kadapati puts her lieutenant Cathel Rowan in grave peril. If the Elves can hold out against the Daemon ambush this could be a profitable round for them.
Ironhall kept Durin Kortouched close by the mountains as he paired up Warlords where he could and sent the others after less desirable loot. The Dwarves have a relatively safe round as long as Stonefist Gargoyle and Byaal Kadapati can hold their own. Look for the rest in the fighting pits!
Sir Tython, at the earliest available moment, decided to use his once per event ability to submit his movement during the post-movement phase so he could see where everyone settled. As a result, three of his Warlords are off gathering Phoenix Feathers to help keep their ranks flush in the battles to come while Jaqueline Windson acquires a Symbol of Kerebrus. Tickets will soon be available to watch the FreeKs and the Dwarves in the fighting pits!

Round 1 Combat Recap
The Chosen showed up for vengeance against the Accordlands that turned their back on them, slaying its beloved heroes in Byaal Kadapati, Stonefist Gargoyle, Cathel Rowan, Lord Winter, High Priest Nassiral, and Master Assassin Cear! Many souls were harvested — a day of sorrow in the Accordlands.
The Deverenians appear to have made and in the very same turn broken their alliances! But their spectacular deception was met with soul crushing defeats as so many of their assassin teams have fallen! Kalten the Bleak and Talib al-sirr stormed Lukkot hoping to bring home Wyvern’s heart but Talib misplaced his Vorpal Blade and the pair were roasted by the mighty Nothrog dragon. Meanwhile at Tyraniel forest’s edge Madriga and Kassia the Saint found a lone General Lund attempting to tame a Spirit Wing. Against all hope the General outmaneuvered both Deverenian armies and sent a strong message to those who would challenge him on the battlefield. Silver lining for the Storm worshippers was Jodin Drac and Adonis the Cozener gathering to secure the coveted Annals of Triumph, one finding success in the fighting pits, and Deima defending Luthlarius against a lone Marcus Shaw and his allies.
The Dwarves assembled a formidable pair of Warlords in Byaal Kadapati and Stonefist Gargoyle in the North portion of Myreth. The two encountered an Elven lieutenant in Cathel Rowan and a mysterious portal out of which Galam-Reth appeared! The briefest alliance between Elf and Chosen led to the assassination of Byaal by arrow, but moments later Galam stood as lone survivor of the fight and disappeared into the portal. In the fighting pits the Dwarves faired no better, off to a slow start overall.
The Elves bore the brunt of the Chosen attacks personally uncovering four of the five portals that appeared! This would cost them the life of their lieutenant Cathel Rowan as he died fighting both Dwarves and Chosen. This also cost them their Master Assasin Cear who was stabbed by Princess Alizeh in her own dying breath! In Southern Myreth their lone fighter Lord Winter gave his all against High Priest Nassiral but the offense took too much out of him leaving Sanga Kish remaining on the battlefield. But in Misear Laurena Kennet banished Naram-Sin back to Thessyria and on the Nothrogland’s river shore Behlial defeated the Free Kingdoms knight Sir Lucian. Elsewhere Yvaalis could not find footing in the fighting pits leaving the Elves with heavy casualties and heavy kills for the round.
The Free Kingdoms, having used Sir Tython’s experience for battlefield tactics, were able to pick and choose their engagements. They secured much uncontested loot including three Phoenix Feathers and found mixed results in the fighting pits with Sir Robert the Vigilant and Jaqueline Windson winning theirs. On the battlefield however Sir Lucian and Adarymy fell to Behlial and Menhetiri respectively. This leaves the Free Kingdoms at parity with most of the other Accordlands factions, but for Sir Tython and the Free Kingdoms the war has just begun.
The Mercenaries are off to a fine start showing the Accordlands that their services are worth every ounce of gold they demand! Along the Broken Plains of Sarakia, Tavis Jape encountered a portal to Thessyria at which he met his demise against Sav’rukk and Ruash-Shan. Marcus Shaw strolled through Luthlarius demanding Deima’s head, but his insolence was rightly punished by the Deverenian Overlord. General Lund acquired a Spirit Wing after outmaneuvering both Kassia the Saint and Madriga on the battlefield! And the others searched out loot with Menhitiri killing Adarymy in Toheuth.
The Nothrogs found themselves betrayed by their human alliances at the very start of Strategic. The Deverenians had lulled Wyvern and his forces into a false sense of security and sent an assassination team to Lukkot for his heart. The furious Wyvern burned Talib al-sirr and Kalten the Bleak to a crisp however and their deception was rewarded with death. Along the Broken Plains of Sarakia Sav’rukk killed Tavis Jape and Ruash-Shan at a portal site where he tamed a Spirit Wing. Elsewhere around map, the Nothrog found great success in looting and fighting in the pits with only High Priest Nassiral dying in a battle against Lord Winter and Sanga Kish. And with that the Nothrog are off to an early lead.
