Round 3 Movement Recap

The Chosen sent Sin-Marduk on a rampage to Athanaes where he encountered a Deverenian powerhouse pairing in Adonis the Cozener and Jodin Drac. Four portals were activated this turn, two of which faced down angry Accordlands tag teams with two others offering an honest battle and a three-way fight with Mercenaries and Free Kingdoms involved. After a turn of being slaughtered, the Chosen look to redeem themselves.

Deima positions the majority of her forces along the mountain border to prepare for the apparent Nothrog and Elven invasions. In addition to this, she deploys her Wall of Stone in an attempt to slow the Nothrog march. Center map, Jodin Drac and Adonis the Cozener are found by Sin-Marduk, but will he be predator or prey?

Ironhall uses New Orders to get Stonefist Gargoyle in the fight between Durin Kortouched and Atiratu. The rest of the Dwarves hold off on combat for the round and instead opt for the fighting pits.

Jel’ial pursues information and more minions for Behlial’s legion with one of her three pairs of Warlords, but maneuvers the others to relative safety from portals and other factions. But are Coreos Bodach and Thekem Netheryn marching on Deverenia?

Sir Tython holds back nothing this round and sends the majority of his forces charging headfirst into the enemy! Trevaine Cartwright is sent alone to a portal in the heart of Tyraniel. Elsewhere in Elven territory, Iam Unsullied and Jaqueline Windson contest loot but encounter an ugly mess as sellswords General Lund and Varson Yscar show up just as Princess Alizeh steps foot on the Accordlands out of a portal. Finally, in Southern Myreth Captain Dukat and Beastmaster meet a deadly pair among the trees in Tavis Jape and The Nemesis. This is set to be a make or break round for the Free Kingdoms.

Qor-teth has also stretched his companies far and wide pursuing loot and dominance of the portals to Thessyria. Varson Yscar and General Lund ride into the makings of a nasty donnybrook in Northern Myreth while Tavis Jape and The Nemesis find a proper battle themselves in the Southern portion. The others hang back in Narawi or continue to explore the coast. Like the Free Kingdoms, this round has potential to be the Mercenary’s biggest yet.

Wyvern sends his forces Northward for vengeance against the nation that betrayed them in the onset of the war. All six Nothrog Warlords are free for the fighting pits this round, but will the fighting pits be free for them?

Round 3 Combat Recap

The Chosen find more souls as the Daemonlord soul harvester Sin-Marduk himself claims the final two initial deployment Deverenians on the map. Princess Alizeh dispatches Varson Yscar alongside Jaqueline Windson but when the dust settles between the Free Kingdoms and Chosen bards, Alizeh tastes defeat. Exhausted, Trevaine Cartwright and Nin-Gula give up their fight and part ways with neither coming out victorious. Far to the South in Misearis, Naram-Sin and Atiratu encounter overwhelming Dwarf and Elven forces which, try as they may, they cannot overcome.

The Deverenians suffer a devastating blow after their attempt to gather information goes awry when they encounter the massive Thessyrian soul harvesting Daemonlord Sin-Marduk. Jodin Drac and Adonis the Cozener showed early signs of hope in that battle, but Marduk was too powerful a force in the end. In the fighting pits the rest of the Devs bring home an even score of two wins and two losses fighting against four different factions in four different pit fights.

The Dwarves has a relatively safe round with their only mortal combat taking place at a portal outside of Misear pitting Stonefist Gargoyle and Durin Kortouched against Atiratu. Just before Atiratu could bring forth even more Daemons to the Accordlands, the Dwarven duo sent her back through the portal defeated. In pit fights, the Dwarves have a flawless round with three fights and three wins against Elves, Devs, and Nothrog.

The Elves follow suit with the Dwarves taking as few risks as possible around the Accordlands, but they do make a play for a Stone of Fortune and gathering information along the Broken Plains of Sarakia. Behlial and Laurena Kennet seek out a lone Chosen opponent and find that opponent in Naram-Sin who they dispatch of securing the area loot. In the fighting pits, the Elves have more losses than wins with only Coreos Bodach bringing home a victory.

The Free Kingdoms have a bloody round. Iam Unsullied is bested by the battlewise General Lund in a duel of physical prowess and tactics. Captain Dukat also falls in battle, though the battle is won by Beastmaster Eladric against the Mercenaries Tavis Jape and The Nemesis. And at Myreth forest’s Norther edge, Jaqueline Windson leads her lycans and bowmen to victory against Varson Yscar and finally Princess Alizeh and her army of thralls. This leaves Sir Robert to pit fight alone and find his third win in a row there. While the losses were huge for the peasant faction this round, the victories were just as sweet.

The Mercenaries were looking to incrementally grow their slight lead over every other faction this round in the war over the Accordlands. Almost all of their moves involved an encounter with the Free Kingdoms, in some ways this round became a two faction war for the Western side of the continent. And while they took Captain Dukat and Iam Unsullied away from their neighboring faction, they suffered their first heavy casualties of the event as Tavis Jape, The Nemesis, and Varson Yscar were all put to rest. Only General Lund maintained his killing spree and dominance over the battlefield this round, with the remaining two Warlords suffering defeat in the pit fights. A round of loss for the Mercenaries.

The Nothrog hit a roadblock in the march to Deverenia. Deima seems to know Luthlarius is the legion’s destination and that siege is their goal in mind. But during their travel, they find no combat in the Accordlands. And while the fighting pits seem to have opened back up to them somewhat, their only victor is Bershar Nin with Fottrakka and DerRist taking losses to their neighboring factions in the Dwarves and Deverenians. It is a round of investment in travel for the Nothrog, with hopes of great return in the future.
